My second idea would be a better template to use for an ident for our company, such as the slicing of a fruit, as this would be eye catching and memorable in comparison to the first logo, which provides a little inspiration. Secondly, the first logo resembles a radish more than a pomegranate, not only contradicting the company’s name but may be confusing and harder to remember for an audience and other film companies. As a film company wants to be recognized in order to get its work out there and heard, not being remembered can be a big problem.
It is also the most professional looking of the logos, compared to the logos suggested by Shivani, one of which includes a spelling mistake and, in general, looks as if Microsoft Word shapes have been used in the background, which can make the logo look cheap. Also, the use of the Pomegranate image in Shivani's first logo could cause a copyright infringement.
Pink is a colour of a pomegranate and is associated with love, sensitivity, and harmony. This can link Pomegranate Studios films with sensitive and harmonious, but interesting topics. However, the “slice” of the fruit indicates that harmony and peace have been disturbed and could link sensitivity with controversy. Controversial films can grab the public’s attention.
