Psychological thrillers is the sub genre of a specific thriller.
Themes that usually occur in psychological thrillers are
- Perception - Often the characers mispercieve the world around them, or there perceptions are altered by outside factors within the narrative.
- Death - Characters often fear death or have a fascination with it.
- Identity - The definition of one's self. Characters often are confused about or doubt who they are and try to discover their true identity.
