A camera operator  is a professional operator of a film or video camera. The camera operator is responsible for physically operating the camera and maintaining composition and camera angles throughout a given scene or shot. In narrative filmmaking, the camera operator will collaborate with the director, director of photography, actors and crew to make technical and creative decisions. A camera operator is part of a film crew consisting of the director of photography and one or more camera assistants.

Important camera operator skills include choreographing and framing shots, knowledge of and the ability to select appropriate camera lenses, and other equipment (dollies, camera cranes, etc.) to portray dramatic scenes. The principles of dramatic story telling and film editing fundamentals are important skills as well. The camera operator is required to communicate clearly and concisely on sets where time and film budget constraints are ever present.

I would categorize our film ‘’Echoes’’ as a rating of 15 as the genre of our film is psychological thriller. It will be rated 15 but it will become clear through the film as there will be a use of strong verbal language used occasionally. The film will also contain strong threats and horror which is why it won’t be suitable for under 15’s. The reason why I believe 15 is a good age rating is because since the genre of our film is psychological thriller there will be suspense and the whole motive of the film is to build tension and letting things be a mystery which may be disturbing to children of younger ages as it may disturb them or scare them. I also think it’s not appropriate for younger audience as there may be a few who copy some of the actions that the film portrays such as the use of weapons. However i believe rate rating of 18 would be too high for this film as there won’t be constant use of vulgar language or scenes which won’t be appropriate for 15 year olds such as explicit scenes of nudity or strong blood and gore.

Institutions: distributers

I looked at a number of film distributors including Universal, Lionsgate and Paramount. However, we chose Icon film distribution as I believe it's the most suitable. Icon is one of the leading UK independent film distributors who collaborate with international filmmakers making the company very successful. Icon is known for their low budget films which have done exceptionally well and became successful. Similarly, our film is also a low budget film making it realistic for icon film distribution to be our distributor.

The reason I chose Icon film distribution compared to the other distributors I looked at was because the others were movies which do really well in the box office, mostly due to their budget for the film. Therefore, the other distributors i looked at distribute movies which are more of a higher budget and so those movies tend to be much popular as well as look very professional which our film product doesn't. Another reason for why we chose Icon is because they have distributed many movies which have been very successful for example Slumdog Millionaire. They have had a lot of experience in the last few years, including the genre of our film product which is psychological thriller. They have distributed films within this genre and similar genres for example horror. One of the successful film they had distributed is Paranormal Activity. Since our movie is low budget and of a similar genre we also expect to do well having Icon as our distributor.

Note: Replace the name "Priya" with "Jenny". The group were going through discussions on changing the names at this period of time so the name "Priya" is incorrect.

EXT. EMPTY HOUSE- 1- DAY

Main character comes out of the taxi. Goes around to take all his luggage  out of the cab. Taking out everything, he stands for a moment in the middle of the road looking at his new house. Minutes and minutes went away, this was very weird. He looked uncomfortable, scared and unhappy.

Couple of minutes after a couple and their child was walking through the road, in a nice way of neighbourhood they went to him to say hi and to know who he was. The man stepped up to the main character.

Neighbour man (Harry)

Hello!!!

Are you our new neighbour?

Surprised the main character looks at Harry's eyes and in a slow town he replies to him.

Main character (Luis)

Hello!(in a slow town)

YES i am the new neighbour. My name is Luis.

Pleasure meeting you.

In the back Harry's wife Elizabeth smiles along with her daughter Laura.  She goes in front next to her husband taking along her daughter, so they can introduce themselves. 

Elizabeth

Hi my name is Elizabeth i am Harry's wife and this is my daughter Laura.

Laura say hi to our new neighbour. 

Laura stepped up so she could present her self and say hello to him with a nice smile. 

Laura

Hi, my name is laura. Welcome to your new neighbourhood. 

Harry casually smiled and said thanks. Straight away went away without saying bye in a nervous way feeling very uncomfortable. We could see this by the way he was walking. 

Elizabeth

Why did he leave like this? 

Without saying bye or anything, that was very strange...

Harry

It was his first time meeting us that may be the reason. 

You dont feel weird about this, as this may happen to everyone on their fist time meeting their neighbours. 

INT. LUIS NEW HOUSE

Walking in an uncomfortable way he goes through his house. Opens the door slowly with a scared reaction in his face, he goes in. Walking through he watches everything around him with a feeling that everything will get better one day. 

 Luis

I wish i could go back to my old house where all my family is, why did this happen to me. Now i am all alone here, what will i do now. 

In a tense look he looks out from the window of his sitting room. 

After days and days he didn't go out of the house. He started getting depressed and more depressed as the days started going. He started getting a feeling to take all his anger out on someone. So he targated his neighbours daughter. He started looking at her schedules of daily life bases, he just wanted to kill her in a short period of time, he wanted her dad. 

INT. NEIGHBOURS HOUSE

Luis

Hello Mrs.Elizabeth I came to say sorry for my behaviours last time, it was my first day in this neighbourhood thats why i reacted like that, i am very sorry. 

Elizabeth

OHHH... its fine Mr. Luis i can understand that it was your first day here. Please come inside, feel comfortable. HARRY come downstairs Mrs. Luis is here. 

Harry coming down from the stairs with a happy look in his face. He welcomes Mr. Luis with a big smile in his face. 

Harry

Mr.Luis please come in. How are you? Didnt see you for a long time now! Is everything fine?

Luis

Hello Mr. Harry, everything is fine i got this some gifts for you guys and for your daughter. Oh yh where is she i would like to meet her. 

With a different look he wait to see Laura. 

Harry

She just came from school i will call he right now. Thanks for the gifts Mr.Luis. 

Laura!!!

He calls here with a smile in his face. 

Harry

Look whos here Laura is Mr. Luis! Say hi to him. 

Laura

Hello Mr. Luis, pleasure meeting you. 

Luis

Hello ,laura, look i got you so many gifts. Do you like them?

Laura 

ohh thank you mr.luis i really appreciate this, the gifts are amazing. 

With a evil look he says welcome to Laura, with the dangerous smile ever. 

INT. LUIS HOUSE

Him sitting down depressed and nervous, look in his face. Desperate to kill Laura. 

Luis

oh my god when will i kill her. Its been some weeks now, i think i should take my steps now and kill her tomorrow, as now i know when she will be alone and what time. Finally the day as came when i can take all my anger out on her. Finally!!!

INT. OUTSIDE LAURA'S SCHOOL

luis 

Laura here!!

Today you r not going home by the school bus, i will take you home today. 

Laura

Why?

With a scared reaction in her face, she didnt know what to do. She took the step of going with him, as he said that her parents told her to. She went through the car and sat down. 

He started driving the car and she started feeling more and more scared as the car started going. 

INT. OUTSIDE SOMEWHERE NEAR THE FOREST

He takes her out of the car, and shows her the knife. Putting it in the neck, he makes walk. She is crying and screaming for help, her voice starts giving up on her. She tries to hurt him but he is too strong to give up.  

She bites his hand and starts running away for her, As he recovers from the bite, he starts chasing her and finally catches her. He didnt wait any moment and just killed her, there was blood all over the place. 

Now he didnt know what to do, he just left the body there so the animals can eat her, so nothing would happen to him.
